Evening sadness - Melanconia della sera - शाम की उदासी

Beautiful sunsets often make me sad. They remind me of the beauty of the life and also of the end of a life-cycle. The setting sun makes me remember those loved ones who are far away or those who are no more. The images of evenings in today's post are from Assam/India, Para/Brazil and Gaza/Palestine.

Sky crossings - Incroci nel cielo - आसमानी चौराहे

Trento, Italy: Yesterday while walking through mountains, I was looking at the traces of exhaust from the airplanes above. Those traces make such beautiful designs in the sky. Lot of planes pass here, about every 5 or 10 minutes. And, I wondered how much pollution they cause?

त्रेन्तो, इटलीः कल पहाड़ों के बीच सैर करते हुए, उपर से गुज़रने वाले हवाई जहाज़ों के छोड़े धूँए के निशानों को देख रहा था. इन निशानों से आकाश में सुन्दर आकृतियाँ बनती हैं. यहाँ से बहुत हवाई जहाज़ गुजरते हैं, करीब करीब हर पाँच दस मिनट में. सोचा कि क्या इनसे भी वातावरण प्रदूषित होता होगा?

Trento, Italia: Ieri mentre camminavamo in montagna, guardavo le tracce lasciate dai fumi degli aerei che passavano sopra. Quelle tracce fanno dei disegni molto belli nel cielo. Qui passano tanti aerei, uno ogni 5-10 minuti. E, mi chiedevo quanto inquinamento causeranno questi?

Grey sea - Mare grigio - सलेटी सागर

New York, USA: Like Bombay, Manhattan is also like a finger sticking out in the sea. The walking area around the tip of finger is called promenade. The day I went there, it was cloudy, windy and the sea was grey. The advantage of bad weather was that there were no crowds, there were just a few stray tourists like me.

न्यूयोर्क, अमरीकाः मेनहेटन समुद्र में उठी उँगली जैसा है, जैसे मुम्बई है. उस उँगली का कोना जहाँ समाप्त होता है, वहाँ समुद्र के साथ चलते रास्ते को प्रोमेनेड कहते है. जब उधर जाने का मौका मिला तो बादल छाये थे, हवा चल रही थी और समुद्र का रंग सलेटी था. इसका फायदा यह था कि भीड़ नहीं थी, आसपास कोई इक्का दुक्का घूमने वाला ही दिख रहा था.

Nuova York, Stati Uniti: Come Bombay, anche Manhattan è come un dito alzato nel mare. La passeggiata intorno alla punta del dito si chiama Promenade. Il giorno che l'ho visitato, era nuvoloso e c'era tanto vento, il mare era grigio. Il vantaggio del brutto tempo era che non c'era la solita folla, vi erano solo alcuni turisti come me.
