Bethlehem, Palestine: The place where Jesus was born is considered to one of the holiest places for Christian pilgrims. On one side there is the nativity church, on the other side there is a mosque and between them is a Peace centre. On the surrounding hills you can see the new Israeli settlements. The place gives a feeling of tension between religions. However, in the church, I saw people of different countries, some of whom did not seem to be Christians. Near the church entrance is a statue of a medieval crusader that reminds of the history of religious tensions.
बेथलेहम, फिलिस्तीनः जिस जगह येसू पैदा हुए थे वह जगह ईसाईयों के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण तीर्थ स्थानों में से है. वहाँ एक ओर जन्मस्थान गिरजाघर बना हैं, दूसरी ओर एक मस्जिद और दोनो के बीच में एक शान्ति केन्द्र. आसपास की पहाड़ियों पर नये ईसाइली सेटलमैंट दिखते हैं. वहाँ का वातावरण, धर्मों के बीच के तनाव की अनुभूति देता है. लेकिन गिरजाघर में विभिन्न देशों से आये लोग दिखे, जिनमें से कुछ दूसरे धर्मों के लगे. गिरजाघर के द्वार के पास मध्ययुगीन ईसाई योद्धा की मूर्ति भी है जो धर्मों के बीच के तनाव के इतिहास की याद दिलाती है.

Da una parte c'è la chiesa della natività e dall'altra c'è una moschea e tra i due c'è un centro di pace. Sulle colline circostanti, potete scorgere le nuove colonie israeliane. La città mi ha dato la sensazione di una tensione tra le religioni. Ma nella chiesa vi erano persone di diversi paesi, alcuni dei quali non sembravano cristiani. Vicino all'entrata della chiesa, c'era la statua di un crociato per ricordare la storia delle tensioni religiose.
