Transformation - Trasformazione - बदलाव

After more than a year, I finally want to share some images. They are about a moment of transformation, when the ordinary becomes magical. You are going somewhere and suddenly you see something colourful and strange and you stop in your tracks. If you are lucky and you have a camera with you, sometimes you manage to get an image of that fleeting moment. The images are from Delhi (India), Bologna (Italy) and Guwahati (India).

आज एक वर्ष के बाद फ़िर से तस्वीरें बाँटने का मन किया. इन तस्वीरों का विषय है वह क्षण जब अचानक समय बदल जाता है, सामान्य से जादुवी बन जाता है. आप कहीं जा रहे हैं और अचानक कुछ अजीब सा दिखता है, रँगबिरंगा सा और आप राह चलते चलते ठिठक जाते हैं. कभी कभी अगर भाग्य अच्छा हो और आप के पास कैमरा हो तो उस जादुवी क्षण की तस्वीर भी खींच लेते हैं. यह तस्वीरें है दिल्ली (भारत), बोलोनिया (इटली) तथा गुवाहाटी (भारत) से.

Dopo più di un anno, finalmente ho sentito il bisogno di condividere qualche immagine. Queste foto riguardano un momento di trasformazione, quando l'ordinario diventa magico. Stai andando da qualche parte e all'improvviso, vedi qualcosa di colorato e strano che ti fa fermare. Se sei fortunato e hai una macchina fotografica con te, qualche volta riesci ad avere un'immagine di quel momento fuggente. Le immagini sono da Delhi (India), Bologna (Italia) e Guwahati (India).

Threads of affection - Fili d'affetto - मोह के धागे

Guwahati, Assam, India: Today's subject has those threads of affection that bind families, siblings and friends. When these threads break or tie up in knots, we feel the most hurt.

I have decided to stop updating this blog. It was started in 2005. It has around 2000 posts and lots of pictures. It has introduced me to some good friends and given me creative satisfaction. For all these years, selecting the pictures for this blog has been the first thing I have done after waking up. However, I no longer enjoy selecting the pictures. That is why I am suspending it. Thanks to all the readers and appreciators.

गुवाहाटी, असम, भारतः आज की तस्वीरों का विषय वह मोह के धागे हैं जो परिवारों को, भाई बहनों को, मित्रों को, बाँधते हैं. इन धागों की गाँठें हीं दिल में सबसे गहरी चुभती हैं.

मैंने इस ब्लाग से छुट्टी लेने की सोची है. यह ब्लाग 2005 में शुरु किया था, इसमें करीब 2000 पोस्ट और बहुत सी तस्वीरे हैं. इसके माध्यम से मुझे कुछ मित्र भी मिले हैं, और कलात्मक संतुष्टी भी. इन सालों में सुबह सुबह उठ कर मेरे दिन इसके लिए तस्वीरें चुनने से शुरु होते रहे हैं. पर आजकल तस्वीरें चुनने का मन नहीं करता. इसलिए ले रहाँ हूँ छुट्टी. ब्लाग के पाठकों-प्रशंसकों को धन्यवाद.

Guwahati, Assam, India: Il soggetto di oggi sono i fili d'affezione che legano le famiglie, i fratelli e gli amici. Quando questi fili si rompano o hanno i nodi, fanno più male.

Ho deciso di non aggiornare più questo blog. L'avevo iniziato nel 2005 e in questi tredici anni, ho scritto 2000 post e ha tante foto. Tramite questo blog ho trovato alcuni buoni amici e mi ha dato soddisfazione creativa. In tutti questi anni, spesso le mie mattine hanno iniziato con la selezione delle foto da inserire nel blog. Ma ultimamente la scelta delle foto non mi dà il piacere come prima. Per questo ho deciso la sospensione. Un grazie a tutti i lettori e apprezzatori!

Buffalo dance - Danza dei buffali - भैंस नृत्य

Siliguri, West Bengal, India: Under the bridge on the river Mahanadi, there is a slum, there I had clicked these pictures from the bridge. The movements of the buffaloes had seemed to me like a slow-motion dance.

सिलीगुरी, पश्चिमी बंगाल, भारतः महानदी के पुल के नीचे झोपड़पट्टी है, वहीं पुल के ऊपर से यह तस्वीरें खीचीं थी. भैंसों का आगे पीछे होना, चक्कर काटना, लगा जैसे कोई धीमी गति वाला नृत्य हो रहा हो.

Siliguri, Bengala dell'Ovest, India: Sotto il ponte del fiume Mahanadi vi è una baraccopoli dove avevo scattato queste foto dal ponte. I movimenti dei buffali mi sembravano come una danza lenta.

Mobile photography - Fotografia con cellulare - मोबाइल फोटोग्राफ़ी

The cameras in the mobile telephones have brought out the photographers in all of us. This is the subject of today's images and they are from Guwahati (Assam, India), Bologna (Italy) and Gaza (Palestine).

मोबाइल में लगे कैमरों ने सबको फोटोग्राफ़र बना दिया है. आज की तस्वीरों का यही विषय है और यह तस्वीरें हैं गुवाहाटी (असम, भारत), बोलोनिया (इटली) तथा गाज़ा (फिलिस्तीन) से.

River bank - Riva del fiume - नदी किनारे

Kamrup district, Assam, India: At Mazgumi you can get a boat for going to the 20-25 inhabited islands in Brahmaputra river. Life on the islands is tough as the state services like electricity and health care are not available there. Every year during the rainy seasons, they get flooded. Today's images have the river bank at Mazgumi.

जिला कामरूप, असम, भारतः मज़गूमी से ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी के बीच बसे 20-25 द्वीपों के लिए नावें मिलती हैं. नदी के द्वीपों पर रहने वालों के जीवन कठिन हैं क्योंकि अधिकतर सरकारी जनसुविधाएँ वहाँ तक नहीं पहुँचती जैसे बिजली, चिकित्सा आदि. बारिश के दिनों में वहाँ के घर बाढ़ में डूब जाते हैं. आज की तस्वीरों में मज़गूमी से  नदी का तट.

Distretto di Kamrup, Assam, India: A Mazgumi puoi prendere la barca per andare alle 20-25 isole abitate in mezzo al fiume Brahmaputra. La vita sulle isole non è facile perché non hanno i servizi statali come la corrente elettrica o i servizi sanitari. Ogni anno durante la stagione delle piogge le isole vanno sotto acqua. Le immagini di oggi hanno la riva del fiume a Mazgumi.

Brahmaputra's son - Figlio di Brahmaputra - ब्रह्मपुत्र का पुत्र

Assam, India: We had gone to that island in the river Brahmaputra with a boat clinic. He had just come out of the river, mud coating his face and chest. Why did you cover yourself with mud, I asked him many times, but he did not answer.

असम, भारतः हम लोग ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी के उस द्वीप पर एक नाव क्लिनिक के साथ गये थे. वह तभी नदी से निकल रहा था, मुँह तथा छाती मिट्टी से लिपे हुए थे. क्यों लगायी इस तरह से मिट्टी, मैंने कई बार पूछा पर उसने उत्तर नहीं दिया.

Assam, India: Eravamo andati su quell'isola del fiume Brahmaputra con una nave clinica. Lui era appena uscito dal fiume, con la terra sulla faccia e sul torace. Perché ti sei coperto di terra, gli ho chiesto più volte ma lui non mi ha risposto.

Manchester, UK: Some old and new bridges on the Irwell river, to the south of the city. The one in the third image is the Trinity Bridge designed by the well known architect Calatrava.

मेनचेस्टर, ब्रिटेनः शहर के दक्षिण में इरवेल नदी पर कुछ नये पुराने पुल. अंतिम तस्वीर का पुल प्रसिद्ध वास्तुकार कालाट्रावा का त्रिमूर्ति पुल है.

Banana Diwali - केला दीपावली

Assam, India: Diwali is the festival of lights. Here they have a tradition of fixing the Diwali lights on banana trees that reminded me of lights on christmas trees in Europe. Diwali greetings to all friends.

असम, भारतः यहाँ ज्योति पर्व दीपावली पर केले के पेड़ों पर दीप जलाने की परम्परा है जिन्हें देख कर यूरोप में क्रिसमस पर पाइन पेड़ों पर बत्तियाँ लगाने की परम्परा याद आ गयी. दीपावली की शुभकामनाएँ.

Assam, India: Diwali è la festa della luce. Qui hanno la tradizione di fissare le luci intorno agli alberi di banane che mi ricordavano le luci intorno agli alberi di natale in Europa. Tanti auguri di Diwali a tutti gli amici.

Espungabeira, Manica, Mozambique: A sunny winter morning. At the hostel, the girl students were out in the sun with their books and notebooks.

एस्पुँगाबेरा, मनीका, मोज़ाम्बीकः सर्दियों की धूप थी. होस्टल के बाहर, सभी छात्राएँ धूप सेकने के लिए अपनी कापियाँ किताबें ले कर बाहर बैठी थीं.

Museum people - Museofili - संग्रहालयी लोग

London, UK: I love museums and I like most persons who love museums. London has many of my favourite museums. If asked, I would have difficulties in choosing which is the one that I like most. Today's images are about people in the museum and all the images are from "V & A art museum".

लँडन, ब्रिटेनः मुझे संग्रहालय बहुत अच्छे लगते हैं और अधिकतर वह लोग भी अच्छे लगते हैं जिन्हें संग्रहालय अच्छे लगते हैं. लँडन में मेरी पसंद के कई संग्रहालय हैं. मेरे लिए यह तय कठिन है कि कौन सा मुझे सबसे अधिक अच्छा लगता है. आज की तस्वीरों का विषय संग्रहालय  में घूमते व्यक्ति हैं तथा सभी तस्वीरें "वी एन्ड ए कला संग्रहालय" से हैं.

Londra, Gran Bretagna: Amo i musei e per la maggior parte, mi piaccione le persone che amano i musei. Londra ha diversi musei che mi piacciono molto. Farei fatica a decidere il mio favorito. I soggetti delle immagini di oggi sono le persone che visitano i musei e tutte le immagini di oggi sono dal "museo d'arte V & A".

Pond temples - Stagni e templi - तालाब के मन्दिर

Ganiyari, Chattisgarh, India: In India's rural life, the nature and the sacred are intermixed. God is not there only inside the temple, s/he is also there in the tree and the pond, and in the soul of every being. This philosophy is evident in different aspects of daily lives. Yet in some parts of the life, this thinking gets deformed as in the caste related injustices. Today's images have some ponds and temples from Ganiyari village in Bilaspur district.

गनियारी, छत्तीसगढ़, भारतः भारत के ग्रामीण जीवन में प्रकृति तथा आध्यात्मिक घुले मिले हैं. भगवान केवल मन्दिर के भीतर नहीं बसते, मन्दिर के बाहर के वृक्ष व ताल में भी बसते हैं, हर जीव की आत्मा में बसते हैं. यह सोच रोज़मर्रा के जीवन के कई पहलुओं में स्पष्ट झलकती है. लेकिन जीवन के अन्य कई पहलुओं में यह सोच वृकित हो जाती है, जैसे कि जातिप्रथा से जुड़े अन्यायों में. आज की तस्वीरों में बिलासपुर जिले के गनियारी गाँव से कुछ ताल और मन्दिर.

Ganiyari, Chattisgarh, India: Nella vita rurale dell'India, la natura e il sacro sono tutt'uno. Il Dio non sta soltanto dentro il tempio, ma è anche nel albero e nello stagno, è nell'anima di ogni essere. Questo pensiero si evidenzia in diversi aspetti della vita quotidiana. Nonostante questo, in alcuni altri aspetti della vita questo pensiero è deformato come per le ingiustizie legate alle caste. Le immagini di oggi hanno alcuni stagni e templi dal villaggio di Ganiyari nel distretto di Bilaspur.
