Kohima, Nagaland, India: In the "Two & a half statues" monument of the second world war there are two refugees, a woman and a child, coming from Burma, and a soldier of the Assam Rifles. I hardly know this part of India's history and it raises many questions in my mind.

Kohima, Nagaland, India: During the second world war, in 1944 in Kohima there was a fierce battle between the British and Japanese forces. The War Cemetery of Kohima remembers the British soldiers who had died in that battle. Indians were there on both the sides as part of British forces and as the Indian National Army with the Japanese.

Brussels, Belgium: Till the last world war, animals like horses, elephants and dogs played important roles in the wars. If there will be memorials for today's wars, which animals will be shown in them? Probably those memorials will have drones and robots in the place of animals. Today's images have a second world war memorial which has dogs and horses in it.

Guwahati, Assam, India: The Paik folk-dance from Jharkhand is the dance of Rama's soldiers after their victory on Lanka. Soldiers dressed like brides but with serious faces, doing this slow dance - it was very different from other dances. It was about victory, but it was also about death and loss.
