पिछली तस्वीर के लिए मुझे सभी शीर्षक भाये पर मुझे सबसे अधिक अच्छा लगा समीर जी का गीत!

पिछली बार की तस्वीर के सभी शीर्षक बेटी के लिए माँ की ममता की बात कर रहे थे और बहुत मिलते जुलते थे. पर मेरी राय में उसका शीर्षक माँ की ममता की बात न करता, बल्कि रंगीन फीतों की बात करता.

All the titles suggested for photo 3 had something to do with mother's love for her daughters. Personally I would have chosen something related to the colourful ribbons that the girls had.

Tutti i titoli suggeriti per il foto 3, parlavano dell'amore della mamma per le figlie, io invece avrei scelto qualcosa legato ai nastri colorati che le bambine portavano nei cappelli.

न्यू एमस्टरडेम, गयानाः बच्चों का खेल दिवस था. स्टेडियम बच्चों और उनके घर वालों से घिरा था और खेलों के प्रारम्भ होने की प्रतीक्षा में खूब शोर मच रहा था. उस शोर से अनिभज्ञ, एक माँ अपनी बेटियों की चोटियाँ बनाने में मग्न थी, और उन्हें रँग बिरंगे मोतियों वाले रबर बैंड से बाँध रही थी.

New amsterdam, Guyana: It was children's sports day and stadium was crowded with children and mothers, who were all making a ruckus. In the middle of the noise, this mother seemed concentrated on making the braids of her daughters, tying them with colourful rubber-bands.
What title would you give to this picture?

New Amsterdam, Guyana: Era il giorno dello sport e lo stadio era pieno di bimbi e le mamme. Nell'attesa dell'inizio dei giochi, i bambini gridavano e giocavano. In mezzo a tutta questa confusione, questa mamma sembrava concentrata a trecciare i capelli delle figlie, legandoli con elastici colorati.

पिछली, फोटो 2, का जो शीर्षक मुझे सबसे अधिक पसंद आया वह था संजय का "दीदी", हालाँकि तीनों लोगों ने बड़ी बच्ची की आँखों में झलकती आशा, डर और स्नेह को ही महत्व दिया था, जोकि मेरी दृष्टि में भी उस तस्वीर की सच्चाई थी.

For the last picture, the title that I liked most was "Elder sister", since it expressed all the different sentiments that the elder girl seemed to be experiencing.

Per l'ultima foto, il mio titolo preferito era "sorella maggiore" perché esprime tutti i diversi sentimenti che la sorella maggiore sembrava sentire.

पोटारीनाउ, रुपुनूनी, गुयानाः पोटारीनाउ गाँव का विद्यालय चार वर्ष पहले खुला. उससे पहले बच्चों को सात मील दूर के विद्यालय में पैदल जाना पड़ता था. वहीं यह लड़की अपनी छोटी बहन के टेढ़े पैर मुझे दिखाने आई थी.

Potarinau, Rupununi, Guyana: The school in Potarinau opened four years ago. Before that students had to walk seven miles to the school in the next village. There, in the school this girl was waiting for me to show her baby sister's feet for a checkup.

Potarinau, Rupununi, Guyana: La scuola di Potarinau è stata aperta 4 anni fa. Prima gli studenti dovevano camminare 7 miglia per andare alla scuola nel villaggio vicino. Li, questa bambina mi aspettava per un controllo dei piedi di sua sorellina.

पिछली बार के शीर्षकों में से मुझे लगा कि मैंने स्वयं शीर्षक दिया होता तो कुछ "हसरतों की दुनिया" जैसा ही चुना होता पर मुझे अनुराग का "किस्तों की रोशनी" अच्छा लगा क्योंकि सबसे भिन्न है और सोचो तो बात में गहराई है.

For the last picture, the title that I liked most was "Light in instalments".

सैंडक्रीक, रुपुनूनी, गुयानाः गाँव में और कुछ न हो, पर गेमबाय जैसे वीडियोगेम पहुँच गये हैं. वापाशाना जनजाति का बालक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में इंतज़ार का समय उसी से खेल कर बिता रहा था.

Sandcreek, Rupununi, Guyana: May be the interior villages of Guyana lack many things but even there, the video-games have arrived. A Wapashana boy waiting for his turn in the health clinic was busy playing on his game boy.

अंत में संजय की टिप्पणी पर मेरी टिप्पड़ीः यह सच है कि विद्यालय की पौशाक अधिकतर विकासशील देशों में ही देखी जाती है. यह सच भी है कि यह शायद भारत में अँग्रेजी उपनिवेश के बचे खुचे चिन्हों में से एक है पर अगर इसी बहाने गरीब बच्चों को कपड़े मिल जायें या फ़िर कक्षा में पढ़ने वाले विभिन्न स्तरों से आने वाले सभी बच्चे एक से लगें, तो कुछ फायदे तो हैं इसके.

Sandcreek, Rupununi, Guyana: Children from different villages of Sandcreek sub-district were coming together for the sports day. I was staying with Jude, he belongs to Wapashana indios. In the picture his small son and some children from other villages.

Rosewood, Corentyne, Guyana: That day I was feeling depressed. Then suddenly I saw her, swinging on her hammock and I quickly asked her mother if I could take her picture.

रोसवुड, कोरेनटाईन, गुयानाः उस दिन बहुत मन उदास था. अचानक एक घर में हेमोक पर झूलती यह बच्ची दिखी तो तुरंत उसकी माँ से मैंने तस्वीर लेने की आज्ञा माँगी.

Rosewood, Corentyne, Guyana: Ero un po' giù quel giorno. E poi, l'ho vista nell'amacca e subito ho chiesto alla sua madre il permssso di scattare questa foto.

East Bank Demerara, Guyana: We had the meeting at the Diamond community centre and I kept on looking at the small child on the stairs of the local stadium, who was expecting the end of our meeting and the distribution of food, so that he could also get some food.

ईस्टबैंक डेमेरारा, गुयानाः डायमंड सामुदायिक केंद्र में मीटिंग चल रही थी और मेरा ध्यान बार बार बाहर स्टेडियम की सीढ़ियों पर बैठे इस बच्चे की ओर जाता था, जो इंतज़ार कर रहा था कि कब हमारी मीटिंग स्माप्त हो और कब खाना बाँटा जाये, ताकि वह भी कुछ खाना पा सके!

East Bank Demerara, Guyana: Eravamo riuniti presso il centro comunitario di Diamond e ogni tanto tornavo a guardare il bambino sulle scale dello stadio locale che aspettava la distribuzione del cibo alla fine della riunione, per poter ricevere qualcosa da mangiare.
