Blue bird - Uccellino azzurro - नीला पक्षी

Milan, Italy: In World Expo 2015, Czech country pavilion has the bird-fountain by artist Lukas Rittstein. Its front part is a blue bird, while behind it looks like an airplane with water coming out from holes in its wings and falling down in a swimming pool. This opera wishes to attract attention towards the co-existence of nature and technology and its related risks.

मिलान, इटलीः विश्व एक्स्पो 2015 की प्रदर्शनी में चेक गणतंत्र की पेविलियन के बाहर शिल्पकार लूकास रिटस्टाइन का पक्षी-फुव्वारा है जिसका आगे का हिस्सा नीला पक्षी है, और पीछे का हिस्सा हवाई जहाज़ जैसा, जिसके पँखों में छेदों से पानी की धाराएँ नीचे तरण ताल में गिरती हैं. इस कलाकृति का ध्येय है प्रकृति तथा तकनीकी के समन्वय तथा उनसे जुड़े खतरों की ओर ध्यान खींचना.

Milano, Italia: All'Expo 2015, davanti al padiglione della Repubblica Ceca, c'è l'uccello-fontana, opera del artista Lukas Rittstein. La sua parte anteriore è un uccello azzurro mentre la parte posteriore somiglia ad un aereo, mentre acqua esce dai buchi sulle sue ali e cade nella piscina sotto. Questa opera vuole richiamare attenzione alla coesistenza tra la natura e la tecnologia, e ai rischi collegati.

Guardians - Guardiani - रक्षक

Milan, Italy: These days I am exploring art from the World Expo 2015 exhibition. Today the images are of "Guardians of food", an installation of 21 statues by Oscar winning art director Dante Ferretti. Like the 7 dwarfs of Snow White, these statues represent 7 groups of foods - Enolo (wine), Macedonia (fruits), Norcinello (poultry & meat), Fornero (bakery), Pasticcina (cakes & pastries) and Minestrello (soups). These statues welcome the visitors at the entrance gate. They are inspired from the works of 16th century Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimbaldo, known for making portraits with fruits, vegetables, fish, etc.

मिलान, इटलीः इन दिनों मैं विश्व एक्स्पो 2015 की प्रदर्शनी से विभिन्न कलाकृतियों की तस्वीरें प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूँ. इस सिलसिले में आज बारी है ऑस्कर पुरस्कार जीतने वाले कला निर्देशक दान्ते फेर्रेत्ती की कला इन्स्टालेशन "भोजन के रक्षक" की जिसमें 21 मूर्तियाँ हैं. हिमश्वेता की कहानी के 7 बौनों की तरह, इन मूर्तियों में 7 तरह के भोजनों को मानवाकृति में दिखाया गया है जो हैं एनोलो (वाईन), ओरतोलानो (सब्जियाँ), माचेदोनिया (फ़ल), नोर्चिनेल्लो (मुर्ग मसल्लम), फोरनेरो (बेकरी की रोटी), पास्तिचीना (मिठाई), तथा मिनेस्त्रेल्लो (शोरबा). यह मूर्तियाँ एकस्पो के प्रवेश द्वार पर महमानो का स्वागत करती हैं. इन मूर्तियों की प्रेरणा उन्होंने सोलहवीं शताब्दी के इतालवी चित्रकार जूसेप्पे आरचिन्बाल्दो की कलाकृतियों से ली है जोकि फ़लों सब्जियों मछली आदि से मानव चेहरे बनाने के लिए प्रसिद्ध थे.

Milano, Italia: In questi giorni sto espolrando le opere d'arte esposte al Expo 2015. L'arte di oggi è un'installazione, "Guardiani del cibo", di 21 statue del scenografo premio oscar Dante Ferretti. Come i 7 nani di Biancaneve, queste statue presentano i 7 gruppi di cibi in forma umana - Enolo, Ortolano, Macedonia, Norcinello, Fornero, Pasticcina e Minstrello. Le statue danno il benvenuto ai visitatori vicino all'entrata. Sono state ispirate dalle opere del artista del 16° secolo Giuseppe Arcimbaldo, conosciuto per i suoi ritratti con le facce composte da frutta, ortaggi, pesce, ecc.

Bologna, Italy: In contemporary art  often daily life objects are used for artistic expression. Today's images have the art of colourful umbrellas. Using umbrellas has one problem that if there is strong wind, the umbrellas can break. However this adds an element of beauty, with broken umbrellas the art assumes additional meanings.

बोलोनिया, इटलीः आधुनिक कला में अक्सर आम जीवन की सामान्य वस्तुओं के प्रयोग से कलात्मक अभिव्यक्ति होती है. आज की तस्वीरों में रंग बिरंगी छतरियों की कला है. छतरियों के प्रयोग में एक दिक्कत है कि हवा तेज़ हो तो टूट जाती हैं. पर इसी में उनकी सुन्दरता भी है, टूटी छतरियों से इस कलाकृति के अर्थ और भी गहरे हो जाते हैं.

Bologna, Italia: Nell'arte contemporanea spesso si usano gli oggetti della vita quotidiana per l'espressione artistica. Le immagini di oggi hanno l'arte degli ombrelli multi colori. Utilizzare ombrelli ha un problema che se c'è vento, possono rompersi. Comunque ciò aggiunge un elemento di bellezza, con gli ombrelli rotti l'arte assume ulteriori significati.

Life globe - Globo della vita - जीवन चक्र

Geneva, Switzerland: The gardens behind the United Nations building have the "Life Globe" in a small water pond, depicting animals, birds, fish, humans, dragons, etc. This is memorial to the early twentieth century US president Woodrow Wilson.

जेनेवा, स्विट्ज़रलैंडः संयुक्त राष्ट्र भवन के पीछे वाले बाग में छोटे से पानी के तालाब में एक "जीवन चक्र" बना है जिस पर पशु, पक्षी, मछलियाँ, मानव, ड्रेगन, आदि जीव बने हैं. यह बीसवीं शताबदी के प्रारम्भ के अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति वुडरो विल्सन का स्मारक है.

Ginevra, Svizzera: Nei giardini dietro l'edificio delle nazioni unite, vi è il "globo della vita" in un piccolo stagno, con animali, uccelli, persone, draghi, ecc. E' il memoriale al presidente americano dell'inizio del ventesimo secolo, Woodrow Wilson.

Milan, Italy: Austrian sculptor Harry Rosenthal is known for his sculptures of horses. Today's images have his work with five horses and it is called "The four horse-riders of apocalypse and the white horse of peace".

Free women - Donne libere - मुक्त नारियाँ

Genoa, Italy: Today's images have the art installation "Caryatids" (Women of Carie) by Italian artist Marta dell'Angelo. Made on 5000 sheets of paper, it shows women free from clothes and social restrictions. Carie was an ancient Greek town, from where enslaved women were used as models for making statues at a temple in Acropolise in Athens. For this reason, women-shaped pillars, used for making windows or doors, are called Caryatids. Clothes serve to protect us from cold, dust and sun. They are also chosen for beauty. Yet, since ancient times, societies have used clothes, through the norms of modesty and decency, to chain and bind women's bodies and minds. In India, poet-saint Akka Mahadevi from Karnataka rennounced clothes to break those chains. This art expresses similar feelings.

जेनोवा, इटलीः आज प्रस्तुत है इतालवी कलाकार मार्ता देल आँजेलो की कलाकृति "कारिआतिदी" यानि "कारिए की नारियाँ". इसमें उन्होंने 5000 कागज़ों पर वस्त्रों और समाज के बन्धनों से मुक्त नारी शरीर दिखाये हैं. कारिए प्राचीन यवन देश (ग्रीस) का शहर था जहाँ की गुलाम औरतों को मोडल बना कर एथेन्स की पहाड़ी पर बने मन्दिर की मूर्तियाँ बनायी गयी थीं. इस वजह से नारी-शरीर आकार के खम्बों को, जिनसे खिड़की या द्वार को बनाया जाये, उन्हें कारिआतिदी कहते हैं. वस्त्र सर्दी, धूल या धूप से बचने के लिए काम आते हैं. वस्त्रों में सुन्दरता भी है. पर प्राचीन समय से समाजों ने वस्त्रों को लज्जा और शालीनता के नियमों से बाँध कर नारी शरीर और सोच पर बन्धन लगाये हैं. भारत में कर्णाटक की कवियत्री-संत अक्का महादेवी ने इन्हीं बँधनों को तोड़ने के लिए वस्त्रों का त्याग किया था. यह कलाकृति उसी भाव को दर्शाती है.

Genova, Italia: Le immagini di oggi presentano l'opera "Cariatidi" (Le donne di Carie) dell'artista italiana Marta dell'Angelo. Creato su 5000 fogli di carta, l'opera presenta corpi femminili liberi dai vestiti e dalle restrizioni. Carie era un'antica città greca, da cui donne rese schiave erano utilizzate come modelle per costruire le statue nel tempio di Acropoli ad Atene. Per questo motivo, le colonne fatte come figure femminili, usate per costruire finestre o porte, si chiamano Cariatidi. I vestiti servono a ripararci dal freddo, dalla polvere e dal sole. Vestiti hanno anche un ruolo estetico. Ma fin dai tempi antichi, le società hanno utilizzato vestiti, tramite norme di modestia e di decenza, per incatenare i corpi e le menti delle donne. In Karnataka (India), la poeta-santa Akka Mahadevi, aveva rinunciato ai vestiti per rompere queste catene. Questa opera esprime simili sentimenti.

Red giant - Gigante rosso - लाल भीम

Cape Town, South Africa: At the Victoria and Alfred waterfront, the red giant can be seen from a distance. On going closer, I found that it is made of empty coke crates. I feel that companies like Coca Cola are the examples of the worst of the globalization that is destroying nature, traditional agriculture and cultures in the world. This red giant expresses the enormous advertising power of such companies.

केप टाउन, दक्षिण अफ्रीकाः विक्टोरिया एवँ एल्फ्रेड बँदरगाह पर लाल भीमकाय मानव आकृति दूर से दिखती है. पास जा कर देखा तो पाया कि इसे कोका कोला के खाली क्रेटों से बनाया गया है. मेरे विचार में कोका कोला जैसी कम्पनियाँ ही प्रकृति, पाराम्परिक कृषि और संस्कृतियों को नष्ट  करने वाले भूमण्डलिकरण का चिन्ह हैं, और यह भीमकाय आकृति उनकी विज्ञापन शक्ति को दिखाता है.

Città del Capo, Sud Africa: Alla baia di Victoria e Alfred, si può vedere il gigante rosso da lontano. Quando sono andato vicino, ho visto che era costruito con i contenitori vuoti di coca cola. Penso che le compagnie come Coca Cola sono i simboli del peggio della globalizzazione che distrugge natura, agricoltura tradizionale e le culture nel mondo. Questo gigante rosso esprime l'enorme potere di pubblicità di queste compagnie.

T-shirt - Magliette - टीशर्ट

Rome, Italy: The museum of modern art in Rome is called Maxxi. These days, its courtyard is hosting an installation by Finland artist Kaarina Kaikkonen called "Towards tomorrow" made from children's t-shirts. The site of Maxxi used to be the factory of fashion-wear house called Max Mara. Thus, the idea of future in the installation holds a reference to the past of this building.

रोम, इटलीः रोम के आधुनिक कला संग्रहालय का नाम है मैक्सी. उसके प्रांगण में फिनलैंड की कलाकार कारीना काईकोनेन ने बच्चों की टीशर्टों को ले कर नयी कलाकृति बनायी है जिसका नाम है "कल की ओर". जहाँ आज मैक्सी का भवन है, कभी वहाँ पर फैशन के वस्त्र बनाने वाली "मैक्स मारा" नाम की फैक्टरी होती थी. इस तरह से काईकोनेन की कलाकृति के आने वाले कल में उस जगह का बीता हुआ कल भी छुपा है.

Roma, Italia: Il museo di arte moderna a Roma si chiama Maxxi. In questi giorni il cortile del museo ospita un'installazione del artista finlandese Kaarina Kaikkonen che si chiama "Verso domani", costruita con le magliette dei bambini. Dove oggi c'è Maxxi, una volta c'era la fabrica di vestiti di Max Mara. Così l'idea del futuro nell'installazione di Kaikkonen nasconde un riferimento al passato dell'edificio.
