ReplyDeleteI love your pics! And I've to admit - I am a bit envious that you get to live (and work!, presumably?) in one of my fav destinations :) I remember visiting Orvietto, and it looked quite like Ostuni - like it'd tumble off the hill any moment!

DeleteOstuni is less like Orvieto that has a cliff like drop and is more refined (better houses, beautiful shining cathedral ..), Ostuni is much more mediterranean, more rough while the hill is gentler.

ReplyDeleteNot just Rio, but many favelas in big cities in Brazil have that look. Some of them look really dangerous as if they are going to crash. In Ostuni, it is better :)

ReplyDeleteआजकल परिदृश्य में नए और पुराने का घालमेल मज़ा किरकिरा कर देता है. इसका अहसास मुझे हाल में ही हुआ जब एक मंदिर की फोटो लेना मुश्किल हो गया क्योंकि उसके आगे-पीछे टॉवरों की भरमार हो गयी है. लगता है अब फोटोशोप सीखना ही पड़ेगा.

मेडिटेरेनियन सागर के आसपास, तुर्की, ग्रीस, टुनिज़ी, मोरोक्को, हर जगह इस तरह के शहर मिलते हैं. यहाँ पुराने हिस्सों से छेड़खानी करना मना इसलिए वहाँ पर पुराने हिस्से के बीच में नये पुराने का मिलन तो नहीं होता, हाँ बाहर के हिस्सों पर होता है!
