Bologna, Italy: After the spread of Christianity in Europe, the older Roman and Greek gods slowly disappeared. Gods like Neptune and Poseidon were mentioned also in Indian Rigveda, but they are not known in India today and they do not have any temples. But some old gods remained in the works of artists such as the water and sea god Neptune, who consistently appears on the fountains. Today's images have fountain of Neptune made by French sculptor Jean De Boulogne in 1565, after the heavy snowfall some days ago. Here people say that if before an exam, a student goes around this fountain two times in anti-clockwise direction, then s/he will be successful.
