South Tyrol, Italy: Windcocks or weathervanes indicate the direction of the wind and are usually shaped like cocks. As they move with the wind, they are also used for beauty and are placed on balconies and roofs. Today's images have three different kinds of windcocks - one with Snow White and seven dwarfs, one shaped like a duck and one shaped like a rooster.
