Trieste, Italy: If we read the biographies of well known writers, painters and artists, often we find that they had difficult and sad lives. Irish writer James Joyce is considered to be among the most important modern writers, but even his life was full of difficulties, caused also by his love for alcohol. He had to leave his country and live in exile for long time. He lived in Trieste in north-east of Italy for many years and two of his children were born here. Today's images have the monument to James Joyce in Trieste.

Aveva dovuto lasciare il suo paese e vivere in esilio per molti anni, compreso diversi anni a Trieste, dove erano nati i suoi due figli.
