From darkness to the light

First world war cemetry, Asiago, north Italy: This cemetry has rows of names, thousands of them, sometimes with their pictures and their ashes, waiting for the day of their redemption, all in the dark underground bunker like corridors. Young boys, smart in their military uniforms, look seriously at you, sometimes a hint of smile hiding behind and it feels so sad that they died so young.

The white marble monument on the top, looks vaguely like India Gate. I think that its form, big imposing arches and the sky peeping from them is a good way to remind us about the shortlived lives.
