In the folk-tales of many countries, owls are considered as wise birds and when there is an argument between animals and birds, they go to an old owl for advice. On the other hand, in north-western India, "owl" means stupid and to call someone "son of an owl" is an abuse. Today for 1 April my greetings to all the owls of the world. Today's images are from Brazil, Italy and India.

Snow owl is real cute.Nice pics.
ReplyDeleteThe big problem with zoos is that birds are behind nets so pictures do not come out well, so I prefer not to take their pictures. But this owl was so beautiful that I could not resist!
