Geneva, Switzerland: When sculptor Daniel Bourcart made this tiny statue in 1885 he was only 23 years old. Two years later he died and thus there are not many other examples of his art. Every time I see this statue, I think of the stories of naughty Krishna with his flute that I had heard in the childhood, though the boy of this sculpture is rather serious looking.
जेनेवा, स्विट्ज़रलैंडः झील के किनारे बनी इस छोटी सी प्रतिमा को शिल्पकार बूर्कार ने 1885 में जब बनाया तो वह केवल तैइस वर्ष के थे. उसके दो वर्ष बाद उनकी मृत्यू हो गयी थी, इसलिए उनकी कला के अधिक नमूने नहीं मिलते. जब भी इस प्रतिमा को देखता हूँ तो बचपन की सुनी नटखट बाल कृष्ण की बाँसुरी की कथाएँ याद आ जाती हैं, हालाँकि इस प्रतिमा का बालक नटखट नहीं, गम्भीर है.
Ginevra, Svizzera: Quando lo scultore Daniel Bourcart creò questa piccola statua nel 1885, aveva soltanto 23 anni. Lui morì dopo due anni, per cui non si vedono altre sue opere in giro. Ogni volta che guardo questa statua, ripenso alle storie di piccolo Krishna birichino con il flauto, che avevo sentito quando ero piccolo, anche se il ragazzo di questa statua è piuttosto serio.
