Bologna, Italy: Royalty has blue blood, how did this idea come up? My first thought was "may be because blue is so rare in nature except for the sky". Then I thought that ordinary persons had to work in the fields or in manual labour and their skins became dark and rough, while royalty lived in palaces, their skin colours were lighter and skins softer, so may be their blue veins were visible, that's why people thought that they had blue blood. What is your opinion? The subject of today's images is blue - people covered with blue colour, a blue stained glass window and blue flowers (from their leaves, it seems like a mint plant?)
