मँगोलियाः उव्स प्रदेश की राजधानी उलानगोम में एक बुद्ध धार्मिक सभा. यह सभा भारत से दलाई लामा द्वारा भेजे गये विषेश दूत के स्वागत में की जा रही थी. सोलहवीं सदी में बुद्ध धर्म मँगोलिया में तिब्बत से ही आया था और इसलिए मँगोली बुद्ध लोगों के लिए दलाई लामा का विषेश स्थान है. मँगोलिया में बहुतर लोग बुद्ध धर्म को मानते हैं पर साथ ही पूर्वजों की आकाश पूजा को भी मानते हैं जिसमें ओवो बनाते हैं. मुझे इन तस्वीरों के तेज रंग, भूरा, पीला, संतरी और हरा बहुत अच्छे लगते हैं.

Mongolia: A Buddhist prayer meeting in Ulangom, the capital of Uvs province. It was a rainy and cold day and the meeting for organised for the delegate sent by Dalai Lama. Mongolian Buddhism came from Tibet in 16th century and thus Dalai Lama occupies an important role for Mongolian Buddhist. Majority of Mongolians are Buddhist but they also believe in sky-spirits, represented by prayers of Ovoo. I like these pictures for the strong colour contrast created by the dark browns, yellows, orange and the greens.

Mongolia: Una preghiera Buddista a Ulangom, la capitale di Uvs. Pioveva quel giorno e faceva freddo. L'incontro religioso era stato organizzare per presentare un delegato di Dalai Lama. Il Buddismo arrivò in Mongolia dal Tibet nel sedicesimo secolo. La maggioranza di Mongoli sono Buddisti ma allo stesso momento credono anche negli spiriti del cielo, rappresentati dagli ovoo. Mi piacciono molto queste foto per i forti colori marrone, giallo, arancio e verde.
