लोरका की कविता की पक्तियाँ हैं, "तुम चाहते थे कि तुम्हें बसंत का राज़ बताऊँ". जिसकी व्याख्या इतालवी लेखिका लीज़ा कोरवा ने इन शब्दों में की, "कलियों का और चैरी के फ़ूलों का राज़, नीले आकाश का राज़. पर सबसे अधिक उस छोटे से चमत्कार का राज़ जो हर वर्ष होता है - हम भी फ़ूल की तरह खिलना चाहते हैं. नयी इच्छाएँ, नयी आशाएँ, नये क्षितिज. शायद यह राज़ नहीं, आमंत्रण हैं, बसंत जैसे बनो."

But most of all the secret of that little miracle that repeats every year: we also desire to flower. New desires, new hopes, new horizons. Perhaps it is not a secret, but an invitation: to follow, even this spring.
