Gubbio's wolf - Lupo di Gubbio - गुब्बियो का भेड़िया

गुब्बियो, इटलीः गुब्बियो शहर के खूँखार भेड़िये की कहानी प्रसिद्ध है जिसकी वजह से पूरे शहर में दहशत छायी थी. इस कहानी के अनुसार संत फ्राँसिस से मिल कर वह भेड़िया बदल गया और उसने लोगों पर हमला करना बंद कर दिया. कहानी सुन कर सोचा था कि शहर में अवश्य इस कहानी के भेड़िये की मूर्ती बनी होगी पर वहाँ घूमते हुए मुझे इस तरह की कोई मूर्ति नहीं दिखी.

Gubbio, Italy: There is a story of a wolf linked to Gubbio, who was terrorising the city and then after meeting Saint Francis, he changed. When I had heard the story, I had imagined that city would have a statue of this wolf. However, going around the medieval city I didn't see any such statue!

Quando avevo sentito questa storia, avevo immaginato che in città vi sarà una statua di questo lupo. Invece girando per la città non ho visto nessuna statua del lupo!
