Blue freedom - Libertà blu - नीली स्वतंत्रता

Bologna, Italy: Smurfs are little blue people who wear conical caps with long tips and live in mushrooms. They were designed by Belgian comic writer and artist Pierre Culliford, better known as Peyo. These conical caps are called Phrygian caps and were considered symbols of freedom in Roman times. Today's images have blue smurfs from Bologna summer festival. In western countries blue is considered the colour of sadness, but the blue persons in these images are not sad, rather they exude happiness.

बोलोनिया, इटलीः स्मर्फ यानि छोटे नीले लोग जो तिकोनी लम्बी नोक वाली टोपियाँ पहनते हैं और कुकुरमुत्तों में रहते हैं. इन्हें बनाया बेल्जियम के कार्टून बनाने वाले कलाकार पिएर कूईफोर्द ने जिन्हें लोग पेयो के नाम से अधिक जानते हैं. इन तिकोनी टोपियों को फ्राजियन टोपी कहते हैं और रोमन समय में इन्हें स्वतंत्रता का प्रतीक माना जाता था. आज की तस्वीरों में ग्रीष्म ऋतु समारोह से नीले स्मर्फ बने लोग. पश्चिमी देशों में नीले रंग को उदासी का रंग माना गया है, पर आज के नीले लोगों में उदासी नहीं, खुशी झलकती है.

Bologna, Italia: I puffi sono piccole persone blu che portano berretti triangolari con punte allungate e vivono nei funghi. Erano state disegnate dal fumettista belga Pierre Culliford, conosciuto meglio come Peyo. I berretti dei puffi si chiamano frigio ed erano considerati simboli della libertà nei tempi romani. Le immagini di oggi hanno i puffi blu dalla parata Par Tot di Bologna. In occidente, il blu è considerato il colore della tristezza, ma le persone dipinte di blu di queste immagini non sono tristi, anzi esprimono felicità.
