Hue, Vietnam: Water Hyacinth plant originally came from south America and has spread to all lakes and ponds in the world. It is called a pest, soaking all oxygen from water, choking lakes, killing fishes and tortoises, etc. However, for some years, it is also used to clean polluted water and farmers use it as a fertilizer. To me it looks like a green sheet spread on the water and its light purple flowers with yellow spots remind me of peacock feathers.
हुए, वियतनामः जलकुंभी का पौधा दक्षिण अमरीका से आया है और सारे विश्व की झीलों तालाबों में फ़ैल गया. इसकी बहुत बुराई की जाती है कि पानी से आक्सीजन सोख लेता है, अन्य पौधे मर जाते हैं, पानी में मछलियाँ और कछुए मर जाते हैं, इत्यादि. लेकिन पिछले कुछ सालों से इसका प्रयोग प्रदूषित पानी को साफ़ करने में भी किया जाने लगा है और इसका खाद की तरह भी प्रयोग होता है. मुझे यह पानी पर बिछी हरी चादर जैसे लगते हैं और इसके पीली बिन्दी वाले हलके जामुनी रंग के फ़ूल मुझे मोर के पंख जैसे लगते हैं.
Hue, Vietnam: La pianta Giacinto d'acqua è originaria del sud America, che si è sparsa in tutto il mondo. Si dice che sia un parasita, che assorbe tutto l'ossigeno, che fa morire i pesci e le tartarughe. Ma da alcuni anni, la si usa per pulire le acque inquinate e i contadini la usano come fertilizzante naturale. A me fa pensare ad un lenzuolo verde steso sull'acqua e i suoi fiori con puntini gialli sullo sfondo viola, fanno pensare alle ali dei pavoni.
