Working Woes - Lavori Duri - काम का रोना

पुरी, उड़ीसाः सब लोग समुद्र तट पर खेल कूद, आनंद में मस्त हों और आप को मन मसोस कर काम करना पड़े, कितना बुरा लगता है. पर बीच में काम से छुट्टी ले कर शायद थोड़ी सी मस्ती करने का अधिकार तो सबका है? और उनका सोचो जो बंद, घुटे कमरों में मशीनों पर बैठे हैं, या रात भर टेलीफोन कान से लगाये जाह्न या जैनी बन कर अमरीकी शैली में बोलने को मजबूर हैं या फ़िर सारा दिन कम्प्यूटर के सामने नम्बर देख रहे हैं तो समुद्र तट पर घूमते हुए इस तरह सामान बेचना उतना बुरा नहीं लगता!

Puri, Orissa, India: while everyone else is enjoying at the beach, it must be sad to be forced to work there. However, I am sure that even they would get a few moments of relax on the beach. And if I think of those bent over machines in dark, dingy rooms, those who stay awake all night to answer calls in american accents as Johns and Jennys or those who calculate numbers gazing at computer screens whole day, then in comparison, selling things on the beach does not seem that bad.

Puri, Orissa, India: Mentre gli altri si divertono alla spiaggia e sei costretto a lavorare, deve sembrare terribile. Comunque penso che tutti possono trovare qualche momento di relax sulla spiaggia, anche durante il lavoro. Se penso a quanti sono costretti a chinarsi sulle macchine chiusi in stanze buie e anguste, quanti lavorano tutta la notte con telefoni attaccati alle orecchie che parlano con l'accento americano nei call center, quanti passano le giornate guardando gli schermi dei computer, in confronto l'idea di lavorare sulla spiaggia non suona poi così male.
