Agra, India: Kathak dance is characterized by complex foot movements and the capacity to express emotions through the face and gestures. Today's images have gestures from the kathak recital of Ruchika Sharma - which emotions does she express in these images?

Unusual angles - Angoli inconsueti -

Taj Mahal, Agra, India - S. Deepak, 2012

Agra, India: When I click pictures, I wish that they should be different, so that persons looking at them can find something new even in places they already know. However, if a place is world famous and thousands click its pictures every day, how can you bring something new into it? Often photographers try to give a new look to a place by changing the things in front of it. In Taj Mahal, to make their pictures different, they go to the other side of the river and place camels, boats, women wearing colourful saris in the foreground. I did not have time to go to the other side of the river, so I sought to be "different" by taking pictures from weird angles!

Agra, India: Dance programmes with their colourful lights, smoke and moving dancers, provide opportunities for clicking pictures that look like paintings, that I like very much. Today's images have dance by students of "Ability Unlimited" from Delhi.

Morning light in Jahangir's palace, Agra, India - S. Deepak, 2012

Morning light in Jahangir's palace, Agra, India - S. Deepak, 2012

Agra, India: I had reached the red fort early in the morning and the tourist crowds had not yet arrived. The morning light coming through the doors looked very nice. In Mughal emperor Jahangir's palace, where some shooting of Jodha Akbar was also done, I experimented with camera settings and took different pictures. By decreasing exposure time and changing white balance settings, the pictures have very strong reds. The third image has normal exposition and you can see the difference. It is still not as beautiful as the natural morning light can be, but still I like these images a lot.
