Today's images have some moments of falling asleep while sitting from - Guwahati (India), Bangkok (Thailand) and Cape Town (South Africa).

Cape Town, South Africa: A red man made out of empty crates of Coca Cola. Red colour has been associated with communism and sometimes the words "red man" are used for a communist person, while on the other hand, Coca Cola is considered as a symbol of capitalism. To make their message stronger, often publicists turn upside down the symbols.

Misty cliffs, South Africa: Today, the biggest challenge for the developing world is how to reconcile industrial development with environment protection. "Each year you need to buy new models of things and throw away the old" kind of thinking is leading to so much waste, where will that be burried? Today's images have three forms of nature - rocks, sea and plants growing near the sea.

sad man, Mehrauli, Delhi, India - S. Deepak, 2012
sad woman, Cape Town, South Africa - S. Deepak, 2005
Maria, Abaetetuba, Brazil - S. Deepak, 2012

Till you have a personal experience of deep sadness, it is difficult to understand its suffering. To see your loved ones or friends suffer from sadness, to feel unable to help and feel guilty about it, is also a suffering. Sadness can be treated by medicines but there is no medicine for life's pains and problems. The subject of today's images is sadness and the images are from Delhi (India), Cape Town (South Africa) and Abaetetuba (Brazil).

South Africa: I knew the saying "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder", but I have really understood it only after I developed my passion for photography. Today's images are of plants growing on the south-west coast of South Africa. You may not wish to have them in your home or your courtyard. However, if you just stop for a moment and look at them properly, you see how beautiful they really are!

Cape Town, South Africa: Protea flowers come in different colours and shapes.

Chacma baboons, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa - S. Deepak, 2012
Chacma baboons, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa - S. Deepak, 2012

South Africa: The Chacma baboon species is in danger of extinction. One of the reasons for this is that tourists feed them, so that rather than eating their natural food they wait to receive biscuits and sweets from people. The baboon monument at Cape of Good Hope is for reminding tourists to not to give food to them.

Journey of hope - Viaggio della speranza -

Cape of Good Hope, South Africa - S. Deepak, 2012
Cape of Good Hope, South Africa - S. Deepak, 2012
Cape of Good Hope, South Africa - S. Deepak, 2012

South Africa: Ships travelling from Europe towards Asia crossed the southern tip of Africa and travelled east for the first time in 1488. To the mountain at that southern tip they gave the name of "Cape of Good Hope". They built a light house at that point to guide the other ships. Near by, Indian ocean meets the waters of Atlantic ocean. Rocks with colourful moss, bright greenery, blue waves of the ocean capped by white foam, it presents a beautiful panorama.
